It also provides very sophisticated control depending on conditions.  It can start other applications whenever an application starts, shutdown an application if it exceeds a specified CPU utilization, memory utilization or time lapsed, sync windows clock on app startup, etc.

In addition the performance and usage counters are very helpful - it even graphs the times of day the application is generally used and accessed.  You can pick any EXE to monitor.  Great for analyzing suspect performance issues or race conditions that are difficult to find.  I especially like seeing just how much resources background process like file and mail indexers and virus protection are using.

The advanced version gives more statistics and control rules - it is available for $37.  The free version is not a trial version.
