Symantec has entered a definitive agreement to acquire Altiris.  I have to tell you the first thought that came to my mind ...

Even though it is kind of funny.  "I sure hope that none of Altiris' products will now install the Symantec update client, or I will go bananas!"

I am sure there will be much more profound and hopefully positive results from the merger.
