MCTs No Longer Required to Certify On Specific Courses (MCT Secure Site)

Microsoft has changed the requirements on the MCT program. MCTs no longer need to certify for each course they wish to teach. This is in combination with last year's change that all MCTs must hold a "Premier" certification (MCSE, MCSD, MCDBA). Previously MCTs were required to purchase a training kit, prepare to teach it and pass the exam for any course they wished to teach. In addition, the first course certified had to be attended at a CTEC. New MCTs are only required to do the following:
  • Hold and maintain a premier certification.
  • Attend a MOC or MSDN Training course at a CTEC.
  • Prove instructional skills (generally by attending a train the trainer course).
  • Submit an MCT application.
