Weighting in at a couple gigabytes of disk and a couple giga-dollars to deploy, Microsoft Office is bound to have competitors.

gobeProductive is a commercial, multi-platform office productivity suite. It is file format compatible with MS Office but smaller and cheaper. Unfortunately there does not appear to be a evaluation version available.
