Tired of Outlook taking up 30 MB of memory so you can know when an email comes in? This little pop3 mail monitor is lightweight and slick.
A while back I had researched and tested about 10 pop3 mailbox monitors (little programs that frequently check pop3 mailboxes to tell you if you have mail). After all that work I decided on one and discovered 2 months later that it was spyware.
Magic Mail Monitor beats out all the ones I tested. It is light (43Kb), efficient and well designed. It does not throw a fuss if it can't get to your mailbox, it doesn't leave your mailbox locked - so you can have your main mail program running too. It allows quick delete, quick reply, quick reading, etc. It is great for low bandwidth situations (dial-up, verizon express network) or when you don't want to have your email program constantly loaded. It also does not require "installation" - just double click the EXE. It allows multiple mailboxes in a configuration file and you can switch between multiple configuration files.
